CNY RISE Center, in partnership with New Americans Blessing Box, successfully hosted a special Eid al-Adha community event on May 24 at the New Americans Blessing Box location on Burnet Avenue in Syracuse.

The event brought families, children, and community members together in the spirit of generosity, celebration, and service. Throughout the afternoon, volunteers distributed free Eid gift bags to local families as part of the Eid al-Adha celebration.

Eid al-Adha, one of the most significant holidays in Islam, emphasizes compassion, charity, gratitude, and caring for others. The event reflected these values by creating a welcoming and joyful atmosphere for community members of diverse backgrounds.

Volunteers from CNY RISE Center worked together with New Americans Blessing Box to prepare and distribute the gift bags, helping make the celebration meaningful for many families in the neighborhood. The event also provided an opportunity for community members to connect, share conversations, and celebrate together.
