CNY RISE Center Supports Refugee and Local Families Through Eid al-Adha Meat Distribution
In celebration of Eid al-Adha, CNY RISE Center helped distribute fresh meat to families in Syracuse and Utica, continuing its commitment to service, compassion, and community support.
The initiative was organized as part of the Islamic tradition of Qurbani, which emphasizes generosity and sharing with families in need during the Eid holiday.
In Syracuse, CNY RISE Center partnered with Marty Nave, 1st District Councilor, to support 11 local families. In Utica, the organization worked alongside The Center to provide fresh meat to 28 refugee families.
Volunteers and community partners came together to ensure families could celebrate Eid al-Adha with dignity and joy. The effort reflected the values of compassion, charity, and community connection that are central to the holiday.
CNY RISE Center extends sincere gratitude to all volunteers, donors, and partner organizations who made this meaningful initiative possible. Through collaborative community efforts, the organization continues to support refugee families and strengthen bonds across Central New York.
Eid al-Adha Mubarak to all who celebrated.
